I teach art at Brookfield Primary School in Halifax since 1986. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I never raise my voice.
Over the years I've had 1,600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Leah
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me art in 2011 at Brookfield Primary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard

I was in your mixed-ability classes class in 2011. You believed I could do it before I did! Thank you again.

I'm a software developer now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Addis Ababa.
