I taught special education at Heliopolis Primary School in Heliopolis from 1982 to 2002. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 520 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Layla
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me special education in 2005 at Heliopolis Primary School. I still remember the surprise birthday cake.
