Layla Hala Darwish

Choir director and singer

  • 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
  • Houston Baobab Music School
  • 2001 to 2025
  • English, Arabic
I play violin and accordion. I started in 2001 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness. My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Layla

I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
