Layla Fatima Siddiqui

Shoemaking, done properly

  • 🇪🇬 Aswan, Aswan, Egypt
  • Since 1991
  • English, Arabic
I'm a shoemaking specialist. If you live around Aswan, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.

More about Layla

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Layla: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
