I taught geography at Bakersfield Boys' School in Bakersfield from 1989 to 2002. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 510 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Lawrence: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
