I've been a nurse for 42 years, most of them in rehabilitation at Pioneer Children's Hospital in Kelowna. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
