Lavanya Chettiar

Local electrical work and carpentry

🇮🇳 Hubballi, Karnataka, India
Since 1978
English, Telugu, French

My trade is electrical work. I opened my own shop in 1978 in Hubballi and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Lavanya

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Lavanya: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
