I've spent 40 years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Crescent Polytechnic in Nagpur. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as an accountant and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Lavanya
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Lavanya: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
