Lavanya A. Swamy
Painter, potter and teacher at Nashik Gallery
- 🇮🇳 Nashik, Maharashtra, India
- Nashik Gallery
- 1990 to 2014
- English, Tamil
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1990 at Nashik Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Nashik Gallery, which keeps me honest.
More about Lavanya
I've had 6 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Lavanya: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 2004. It's still the first thing I see in the morning! Greetings from Dhaka.
