Lauren W. Byrd
Classical and oud teacher
- 🇦🇺 Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia
- Phoenix Orchestra
- 1982 to 2019
- English
I play classical and oud. I started in 1982 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 18 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Lauren
I wrote my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Lauren: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
