Laura G. Franco

First-generation students mentor, A Coruña

  • 🇪🇸 A Coruña, Galicia, Spain
  • A Coruña Foundation
  • 1983 to 1991
  • Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 290 people through A Coruña Foundation. Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.

More about Laura

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.

What gifts mean to Laura: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
