Lata A. Thakur
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Mysuru, Karnataka, India
- Old Our Lady of Peace Workshop
- 2008 to 2022
- English, Hindi, Spanish
My trade is welding. I opened my own shop in 2008 in Mysuru and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Lata
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Lata: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
