I teach early years and English literature at Lucknow High School, Lucknow. I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 880 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Lakshmi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Lakshmi: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
