Lahiru Herath
Volunteer mentor with Negombo Association
- 🇱🇰 Negombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Negombo Association
- 2010 to 2021
- English, Sinhala
For eleven years I've mentored people in trades and design. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Lahiru
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Lahiru: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
