Kunle Abubakar Okafor
Mathematics and physical education teacher, Benin City
- 🇳🇬 Benin City, Edo, Nigeria
- Benin City Secondary School
- Since 1987
- English, Yoruba
For 39 years I have been the mathematics teacher at Benin City Secondary School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 2,030 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Kunle
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Kunle: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
