Kumari Madhavi Wijesinghe

Biology teacher at Silverlake Boys' School, Since 2015

🇱🇰 Galle, Southern, Sri Lanka
Silverlake Boys' School
Since 2015
English, Sinhala

I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 620 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Kumari

If you were in my Year 10 class, you probably remember the long bus ride home.

Subjects taught

Biology Agriculture Art

What gifts mean to Kumari: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
