Kumara Wasantha Liyanage
Bicycle repair for 36 years in Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Little Colombo Workshop
- Since 1990
- English, Sinhala
I've worked in bicycle repair since 1990. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,120 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.
I'm still learning every day.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Kumara: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
