I've coached swimming at Manila Sports Club since 1994. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
What gifts mean to Kristine: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
