Kreesan F. Naicker
Physics and environmental science teacher, Soweto

- Bamboo Middle School

I taught physics at Bamboo Middle School in Soweto from 1982 to 2019. Most days I taught teenagers, and I played music while people worked.
Over the years I had 1,520 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
