Kofi Kelvin Bonsu
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇠Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Since 2011
- English, Twi
I've worked in weaving since 2011. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 540 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 23 years later for another job.
More about Kofi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Kofi: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
