Kiran Rabia Awan
Retired special education teacher from Rosewood Primary School
- šµš° Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
- Rosewood Primary School
- 1988 to 2015

I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 27 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Kiran
If you were in my the final-year class class, you probably remember the snow day nobody expected.

What gifts mean to Kiran: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

I'm a architect now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Casablanca.

You taught me special education in 2004 at Rosewood Primary School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
