Kiran H. Chettiar
Youth boxing coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- Since 1991
- English, Tamil
For 35 years I've run the boxing program at Ashford Community Club in Bengaluru. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Kiran
If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Kiran: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1992. I still hear your voice on the sideline! Greetings from Bucaramanga.
