Kiran Ayesha Hussain
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇰 Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan
- Hyderabad Workshop
- Since 1990
- English, Urdu
I've worked in thatching since 1990. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 830 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 10 years later for another job.
More about Kiran
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Kiran: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2015 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Phuket.
