Kiptoo Omondi Lyimo
Taught chemistry at Nairobi Middle School
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Middle School
- 2009 to 2020
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 640 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Kiptoo
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Kiptoo: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me chemistry in 2019 at Nairobi Middle School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
