Kioko Athumani Lubega

Self-taught sculpture artist

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Kinondoni Pottery
  • 2007 to 2018
  • English, Swahili
I'm a sculpture artist based in Kinondoni. I've been making things from 2007 to 2018 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. I never rush a conversation. My studio is always a bit of a mess. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Kioko

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Kioko: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
