I coached swimming at Auckland Swimming Club from 1996 to 2006. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Kinsley
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Kinsley: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
