I taught geography at San Francisco Public School in San Francisco from 1981 to 2014. Most days I taught first-year students, and I played music while people worked.
Over the years I had 1,220 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
