Kimani Joseph Tembo
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Entebbe, Central Region, Uganda
- The Baobab Trades Guild
- Since 2010
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 2010 in Entebbe and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Kimani: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
