Kidist Netsanet Haile
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- Mekelle Workshop
- Since 2002
- English
I've worked in shoemaking since 2002. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,150 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.

you fixed our roof in 2002 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Messina.
