Kidist Hanna Berhe
Coached athletics for nine years in Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Gondar Elmwood Boxing Gym
- 1989 to 1998
- English, Amharic
I coached athletics at Gondar Elmwood Boxing Gym from 1989 to 1998. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you played for me, you probably remember the last day before the summer holidays.

What gifts mean to Kidist: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
