Kiara R. Oberoi
History and social studies teacher, Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Crown Academy
- Since 1986
- English, Hindi
I teach history at Crown Academy in Mumbai since 1986. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I never turn anyone away.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Kiara
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Kiara: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me history in 1992 at Crown Academy. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.
