I coached softball at Thane Football Club from 1996 to 2016. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Kiara
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Kiara: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
