My subject is linguistics, and for 23 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Frangipani Institute of Technology. I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
