I'm a woodcarving artist based in Cairo. I've been making things since 1984 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Hillcrest Art Collective, which keeps me honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Khalid
I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Khalid: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
