I've been a nurse for 48 years, most of them in neonatal care at Our Lady of Peace Children's Hospital in Rawalpindi. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
