Khadija Yewande Tijani
Youth softball coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ikeja Meadowbank Community Club
- Since 1979
- English, French
For 47 years I've run the softball program at Ikeja Meadowbank Community Club in Ikeja. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
More about Khadija
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Khadija: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
