I coached boxing at Lagos Elmwood Athletic Club from 1985 to 2012. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.

What gifts mean to Khadija: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
