Khadija Kehinde Uzor
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Benin City, Edo, Nigeria
- Since 1994
- English, French
My trade is welding. I opened my own shop in 1994 in Benin City and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Khadija: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
