Khadija Fatima Kamel
Musician with Shubra Quartet
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
- Shubra Quartet
- Since 1985
- English
I play sitar and drums. I started in 1985 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I fix old bicycles.
More about Khadija
I write my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Khadija: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
