I taught French at Starlight Primary School in Durban from 1993 to 2004. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 460 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Kevin
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
