I coached softball at Santos Boxing Gym from 1991 to 2010. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Kelly
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Kelly: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
