Kayode Yakubu Coker
Mathematics and English literature teacher, Ibadan
- 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
- 2001 to 2011
- English, Hausa
I taught mathematics at Gateway Middle School in Ibadan from 2001 to 2011. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Kayode
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Kayode: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
