Kayode Garba Coker
Coached chess for 16 years in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Lincoln Youth Club
- 2003 to 2019
- English, Igbo
I coached chess at Lagos Lincoln Youth Club from 2003 to 2019. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Kayode
If you played for me, you probably remember that terrible school play.
What gifts mean to Kayode: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
