Kato Brian Kamau
Self-taught oil painting artist
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Orchid Studio
- Since 1992
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1992 at Orchid Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the river near my house. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

I bought one of your pieces in 2011. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from São Paulo.
