Kato Athumani Ochieng
Volunteer mentor with Lotus Learning Hub
- 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
- Lotus Learning Hub
- 1983 to 2007
- English, Swahili
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 740 people through Lotus Learning Hub.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Kato: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.

You helped me get my first finance job in 2003. I still have your notes. Greetings from Jimma.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
