I've been a nurse for 13 years, most of them in mental health at Maple Ridge University Hospital in Duisburg. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
