Kariuki Mugisha Waweru

Wrestling coach, Crescent Youth Club

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Crescent Youth Club
  • Since 1983
  • English, Swahili
For 43 years I've run the wrestling program at Crescent Youth Club in Kinondoni. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
