Kariuki Karanja Okello
Master of auto repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Old Kasarani Trades Guild
- Since 2001
- English
I've worked in auto repair since 2001. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,130 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 22 years later for another job.
More about Kariuki
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Kariuki: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 2019 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Hamburg.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
