Karim Mahmoud Shaker
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇸🇦 Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
- The Dammam Trades Guild
- 1998 to 2018
- English, Arabic
I've worked in carpentry from 1998 to 2018. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 420 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Karim
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Karim: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
