I taught history at Gateway Boys' School in Fresno from 1999 to 2021. Most days I taught primary school children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Karim
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Karim: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
